The Californian Building is a new four-story structure built behind the façade of the original 1925 Hotel Californian. A Nespresso Pixie machine can be found in the top drawer of your travel trunk/desk. Get your early morning caffeine fix in just a few easy steps:
1. Remove coffee maker from the drawer and plug in.
2. Fill the clear water tank at the back of the machine.
3. Lift the silver handle up, and place your chosen pod in the opening.
4. Move the silver handle back down to load the pod, then select your desired espresso shot size. If the buttons are already lit up, press either button to turn the machine on, then select your desired espresso shot size.

Each guestroom has a safe located in the closet. After placing items in safe, enter a 4-digit code of your choosing and press the “Lock” button. This will lock the safe. To unlock the safe, enter the same four-digit code.
When checking out, please check the safe to ensure that you have removed all your belongings. Please leave it unlocked when you depart.
Hotel Californian is a non-smoking hotel. A fee of $250 will be charged to guests who smoke in the room to cover the costs to clean guestroom linens, carpet, and furniture.
In the event of an emergency, please follow the evacuation path posted on the map located on the back of the door.
Do not answer the door without verifying who it is. If the person claims to be a talent member, you can call Guest Reception and ask if someone has been sent to your room and for what purpose.
When returning to your room in the evening, use the main entrance of the hotel. Be aware and observant. Look around before entering parking lots. Close your guestroom door securely when you are in the room and use all locking devices.
Do not display your guestroom key or envelope with the room number in public. Do not leave your guestroom key on restaurant tables, lounges, or other places where it can be easily stolen.
Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry.
Do not invite strangers into your room.
Place all valuables in the safe provided in your guestroom.
Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
Check to ensure all windows and any connecting room doors are secured and locked.
If you see suspicious activity, please report your observations to Guest Reception.
